I really like the style of this. The bold black lines really work to the pieces advantage making it really striking. The shading is also good, adds a good amount of dimension. Perhaps the hair could have been shaded somewhat in order to look more natural, as it leaves the head it looks alot more sharp and block coloured than the body, making it look a bit disconnected. I think the background works well and that the colours used suit the image well. This is a very striking image that works well on the whole, I also like the black fading in towards the edges to give it a slight border.
The Artist thought this was FAIR

I would call this quite the accomplished "attempt". I absolutely love it. It's beautiful, simple, fun, unique, and emotional. Your style is wonderful, I love how you've done this.

Thanks! :D Man, those colors changed SO MANY TIMES.
I started out with BRIGHT red lineart and a yellow & orange background...
and then I changed it so everything was in black and white and the lips were pink...
and then...
it ended up like this! LOL! XD
